On February 3rd, the University of Madeira and New Organic Planet, Lda. Signed a cooperation protocol
The two entities already have a close relationship with regard to the development of R&D projects in partnership, namely with a research under the PROCiência program, supported by the Institute for Business Development (IDE), of the Autonomous Region of Madeira. This project, called PROBIOMADEIRA, aims to study soil fertility in horticultural activities in organic production on Madeira Island.
This protocol ends the reinforcement of cooperation in joint projects and the approximation of the university, research and associative environment to the business environment.
It also foresees contributing to the promotion of research and development projects within the scope of the program BioDeveloper and contribute to the dissemination of information that leads to the development of projects under the programs IncuBio and BioFunding.
The Autonomous Region of Madeira is the target of a specific Call for the region, addressed to entrepreneurs in the island territory.
The two entities propose, among other activities, to carry out actions to publicize these programs and ensure mutual participation in seminars, workshops and public initiatives.
