February 12, 2021 marks the day that the University of Madeira (UMa) and New Organic Planet (NOP) signed a protocol for training in the workplace.

The protocol provides for cooperation between the two entities. It aims at the organization and implementation of training in the work context to be developed by the students of the Higher Professional Technical Course in Agri-food Technologies, fulfilling the UMa and NOP strategy, aligned with the RAM strategy, in strengthening the agri-food sector, with a strong focus on Bio world.

Practical training, to be developed in the workplace, takes the form of an internship and aims at the acquisition and development of technical, relational and organizational skills relevant to the professional qualification of UMa students.
